hi im whiterabbit.

i am sometimes online on the irc but not too often.

im based in singapore, and i work in building management, though im currently having a short stint as a systems engineer for an IT company.

i like world of warcraft, monster hunter, and cyberpunk 2077. i also like mecha model kits.
i use both linux and windows, and while i am currently mostly using ubuntu and arch, my favourite distro is fedora (i am in the midst of reinstalling it on my pc). i like kde as a de.

i like to do some dumpster diving to recover electronics that may still work with a bit of repairs. my dumpster treasures so far include:

• 1 asus laptop with gtx something and 10gen intel cpu

• a workstation with 5th gen intel cpu

err a few other things i don't remember.

i do self hosting, and got a workstation with an intel 6th gen chip that was sold for cheap for my home server running proxmox which runs:

• wireguard

• 3 vms for use/torrents...

• nas

the forum is pretty dead because it was down for a whole month from late may '26 to late june '26 and people kinda moved to just chatting in a discord server. also, @Avatar and mods just let me know if i have to take down the link for the forum since this is a forum itself. im not really advertising it i don't really care too much if it has activities or not lol (evident from me letting it go down for a month).

my personal website was initially a portfolio site i changed into my blog. used to be i wanted to work in software development.

speaking of, i can write C, java, javascript, python, bash. and idk what else. some of it cos i was learning it some of it cos of school. i have not written any code in a while.
