I've been editing a manuscript of mine for around nine months now, just in my spare time so usually an hour or so in the evenings. It's a dark fantasy story I've been writing for about 2 years now. A tad longer, maybe.
I just sent it out to some friendly alpha readers for a first (gentle) pass. Will be interesting to see what they make of it.
I suspect feedback will mean more writing and editing loops to come! Enjoying it though, and maybe enjoying the editing a little too much.
Still a very long way off from next stages, but it's a solid milestone to send out to get some feedback, and makes it feel like it's a little more than just a passion project. It's real. Thinking of printing it out just for the physicality of it.
