And yes, every single Finnish word was pronounced horribly in the first video. And by horrible, I mean if someone said those words to me, I'd assume they were speaking Bulgarian or something. Even knowing they were Finnish words, it was still impossible for me to understand what he said. Good thing there was a written version of some of the words on screen so I could keep up lol.

Yup! Watched it a long, long time ago. Very good documentary.

Its quite funny, how the current set of "homesteaders" are upset that Proenneke wasnt up to their standards. I used to watch a lot of those "I'm building a log cabin it the woods. Alone. With wolves stalking me. No food. Only using my multi tool and rocks." type of videos, a lot of them kept saying the same thing, "Proenneke wasn't really self sufficient, he had food and stuff flown in!" Completely missing the point of the guy, who just wanted to live in the wilderness, not fill some weird guys survival fantasies.

Would love to see a doc of one of those Youtube rough rider types doing their rock and mud self sufficiency thing for 30 years, though I reckon it'd be slightly less relaxing.

I was sure that it was on the torrent tracker I use, so I went to check and yup, people in the comments are asking if anyone knows where "part 2" is. So I guess that one is not a complete version either. Strange.
