1 kg of beef and pork, if you are fancy you can mix in some lamb as well (note, not 1kg of each, but in total)
2-3 carrots
A swede (not a Swedish person but a root vegetable thing)
2-3 onions
2 bay leafs
10 whole black peppers
Water
Salt, about a teaspoonful
Rapeseed oil
Cut the meat into 1.5-2cm cubes.
Slice the swede, onions and carrots, I like chunkier stuff so I usually slice them into similar size as the meat cubes, but you do whatever you want.
Put some oil on the pan and throw some salt in there as well. Fry the meat on the pan for a few minutes, until they get a little bit of color.
Throw the vegetables, bay leafs and peppers into a oven pot. After frying the meats, add them into the pot.
Add water on the pan you fried the meats on, bring to a boil. When it starts to boil, pour the water into the pot. The water should cover the stuff in the pot, but not more than that. Just enough to drown everyone equally.
Cover the pot, put into a oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 3 hours. Mix things up once or twice during the stewing process, check the saltiness at some point.
