hi, my name is davey! found out very fast that it's hard to find a cool irc server but the furnishings are quite nice in this mansion, so i figure i should establish residence

koriome specs:

• 22 years old

• college student (hopefully graduating soon)

• marketing guy

• running nixos (desktop) cachyos (laptop) and windows xp (much older laptop)

• takes a lot of pride in their small music server

• gold 3 and deranking constantly on overwatch

• has a little mascot named gordito (see pfp)

i'm generally into weird music, anything linux/selfhosting, gaming, streaming, whatever it be. big brother has recently taken a stranglehold on my life too, if there are any reality tv heads here.

if you reply let me know what you name your computers. everyone has some sort of system for setting their hostnames, and i happen to name my towers like old ladies. shoutouts esther

Those are some awesome interests (not just because I have them too ), and I'm sure you'll find plenty of likeminded peeps around here!

As for the hostnames - I'll give you my router's one, based on OPNsense - Gandalf

I like to think that its firewall yells "You shall not pass!" every time it rejects malicious and/or blocked content

I like to name my computers after robots with a sad backstory:

• BMO from Adventure Time, with their childlike sense of wonder and innocence.

• Jeddy 3, the depressed, suicidal android from an indie song.

• Marvin, the Paranoid Android from The Hithchiker's Guide to The Galaxy.
