I wasnt sure what a tf card was, so I did a search and.... well, this showed up in the results:

oh lol! nah I just mean like a Micro SD card. I think TF is the generic name?

Like if they ask for a file, I'll put it on a floppy and give it to them "here you go, you are welcome."

I got a bunch of used 4GB tf cards which I keep on a 3d-printed organizer in my wallet so if someone ever asks me for a file I can, in principle, pull out my phone, save the file to a card ...

I've been extremely tempted to buy a usb optical drive for myself. they make inexpensive ones now that can read and write blank blu-ray discs, which go for about $1 each and hold over 25 GB (compare to a DVD which caps out around 4.7 GB)

of course I don't know if I have anything worth sharing over ...

I like to carry a bag of small game pieces around with me. Here's what I've got in my backpack right now! The whole thing fits in this medium-sized cloth bag from WNY Gaming from back where I grew up.

No. I refuse. The switch cannot be retro gaming. No.
No, no, no, no.

for what it's worth, I wasn't counting the switch as retro so much as saying you can use it to emulate retro games, including retro pc games with dosbox :D

looks delicious, hell yeah! big messy burg :3

instead of starting a new topic for each game, i think we should have one main thread and then spin it off as necessary. so, here's a thread to talk about anything gaming.

i've been thinking about trying to design my own game recently, i want to make some sort of sports-like game which can be ...

i couldn't find a place to add my pronouns to my little bio card on the left of my posts. technically i can write it in the "location" field but i noticed other people using that for their actual location. i put it in my avatar instead but i can't put alt text on my avatar. is it possible to add a ...

What about the git you think is too technical?

Can you also expand a bit of what you want to do with it. Writing surface to develop games? To just list facts, tips and tricks and stats about games? Art, as in analyze art or..? Fiction, as in group writing projects, plot summaries?

honestly, i ...

the switch 1 has a pretty cool homebrew community . you can run linux on it now (they've specifically ported Ubuntu and Fedora). and that means you can play any game that runs on linux, or can be easily emulated on linux.

also, if your switch 1 was made in 2018 or earlier, it has ...

mun Nanseki invited me here to talk about icehouse so im gonna talk about icehouse :D

it has a wiki , and it used to have a forum, but these days everything happens on discord and facebook, so its nice to talk about it here ^^

the short version is that Andy Looney was writing a sci-fi novel called ...

Few of the forums you've mentioned were actually requested by users, like racing and sports, as we have a couple of motorheads with us :)

ah, that makes sense! i figured it might be something like that for the oddly-specific ones. still, i think for the most part, having racing threads show up ...

What we do have is Git that we already use for documentation and anyone could actually make a PR request to it, or fork an "article" to make changes.

The thing with Git is that it also has a nice change history (Wiki does as well), but do check out MansionNET Guides and let me know how you like ...

this is just a gut feeling on my part, but, i think its good to raise the users-to-forums ratio so things don't feel too empty.

currently we have a whopping twenty-two forums spread across twelve categories and only sixty registered accounts. that's a ratio of about three to one.

i would propose ...

the problem with forums is that you can't edit other people's posts.

this might sound silly but consider why people entrust so much knowledge to Discord.

a common case is a "tech support discord" where people get help with a piece of free software. people are probably going to repeat the same ...
